OBET is fully searchable and sortable, and results can be exported in generic formats. It contains references not only to professional academic publications but also to theses, newspaper and magazine articles, television programs, websites, and unpublished manuscripts. The entries themselves can be associated with uploaded materials, such as full text, video clips, images, and supplementary documents. Unlike most academic databases that are subscribed to for a fee, OBET is fully funded by ISEE, and anyone in the world with access to the internet can view the entries and download the resources.
