Quaternary Research Center |
|
The Quaternary Research Center at the University of Washington is an interdisciplinary center that focuses on study of the Quaternary Period, the geologic era in which we live, which spans the last two million years. Quaternary studies provide a scientific perspective on the magnitude of natural and human-induced environmental changes, and contribute to the solution of environmental problems faced by society. The grant supports a scientific study of habitat loss in Puget Sound-area lowland rivers that is designed to provide historic information for the development of a salmon recovery plan.
