The Society for Ecological Restoration Northwest promotes ecological restoration as a means of sustaining the diversity of life in the Cascadia Bioregion, by respectfully reconnecting Pacific Northwest culture and ecosystems. The grant supports a project to develop and document state-of-the-art information on ecological restoration for major ecosystem types in the Pacific Northwest and compile and publish it in encyclopedia form. $10,000 of the recommended amount will be contingent on securing a signed publication contract.

The Society for Ecological Restoration Northwest is a regional, multi-disciplinary scientific organization committed to ecological restoration and ecologically sensitive management of ecosystems in the Cascadia Bioregion. The grant supports a project to provide a comprehensive and independent scientific review of the Washington State Forests and Fish Report, in order to assess its biological integrity and ecological implications, with the goal of strengthening performance standards and monitoring requirements.
