The Society for Conservation Biology seeks to help develop the scientific and technical means for the protection, maintenance, and restoration of life on this planet„its species, its ecological and evolutionary processes, and its particular and total environment. The grant supports the direct expenses associated with hiring top science writers to work with conservation practitioners in developing a series of case studies on at least five Northwest conservation initiatives to help advance the theory and practice of conservation biology. The information will be published and used as educational tools for conservation practitioners. |
