The Save Our Wild Salmon Coalition unites conservationists, sport fishers, commercial fishers, and fishing businesses to restore harvestable, sustainable populations of wild salmon and steelhead to the rivers and streams of the Northwest. The grant supports the organizationÍs overall operations, including work to restore wild salmon to the Snake and Columbia rivers and to Puget Sound-area waters.

The grant supports two salmon protection projects: one focused on restoring wild salmon to the Snake and Columbia rivers by the partial removal or modification of dams, and the second focused on restoring endangered wild salmon in the Puget Sound area, through outreach and the media.
