Bullitt Environmental Fellowship

Long Live the Kings is refining and expanding techniques to restore wild salmon to the waters of the Pacific Northwest. The grant supports the startup of the Puget Sound Salmon Foundation, a regional public and private venture aimed at spearheading habitat preservation and restoration for the protection of Puget Sound salmon. The Puget Sound Salmon Foundation has discontinued operation.

1999 $45,000 Puget Sound Salmon Foundation

The Land Conservancy promotes the region's environment by encouraging the voluntary donation or dedication of natural and open space lands in urban and rural communities in King and Snohomish Counties. The grant supports the Puget Sound Waterways, a project to increase public awareness and commitment to protect critical habitats along rivers and streams in the 12 counties surrounding Puget Sound. It will help to identify and facilitate funding for the long-term preservation of the best remaining habitat in the region.
