La Union Del Pueblo Entero works to develop and promote systemic and holistic initiatives that are necessary to fundamentally reform American agriculture. The grant supports a project to assess ways that farm workers and farmworker unions can play an important role in reducing the environmental impacts and improving the economic viability of small, family-owned farms in eastern Washington, particularly in the Yakima Valley.
