The Down Home Project promotes self-reliant living by providing demonstration projects, educational programs, and working examples of sustainable farming and gardening. The grant supports a project to organize a Conservation Roundtable in the Missoula area that convenes groups to address important conservation issues impacting the area. $5,000 of the grant is dedicated to activities to engage the public in challenging the current proposal to expand Highway 93, due to the impact it will have on promoting sprawl. $2,000 of the grant supports technology improvements.
