Bullitt Environmental Fellowship

The Bullitt Environmental Fellowship is a two-year, $50,000/year fellowship for graduate students interested in pursuing leadership positions within the environmental field.

The BCEN Educational Foundation sponsors and fosters public education and scientific research on ecological issues and practices. It also serves an important role as an organizational mechanism to foster communication and coordinate and empower the work of the BC environmental community. The grant supports a project to aid collaboration among members of the BC environmental community as they work on a strategic response to initiatives of the new Liberal government that threaten to undermine environmental gains of the past decades. The work includes providing training and other support services to member environmental organizations and securing meetings with government leaders.

The BC Environmental Network Educational Foundation works to implement public education and scientific research on ecological issues, so the prosperity of the natural world remains viable and the quality of life for individuals and communities becomes sustainable. The grant supports a project to protect community water supplies and to support joint environmentalist and First Nations initiatives to protect wild salmon.
